Are You Allergic To Your Pet?

Monday March 26, 2007
Many allergy sufferers are afraid to admit that their beloved pet may be worsening their symptoms. And, many of these people avoid seeing an allergist for fear of being told the unimaginable: To get rid of their best friend.

Yet, there are many alternatives for dealing with allergies caused by a pet, short of getting rid of your animal friend. These may include taking a few simple measures inside the home to reduce your exposure to the pet hair and dander.

And, if your allergies do flare, there are numerous medication choices to reduce symptoms. For pet owners with animal allergies, allergy shots may be one of the best options to potentially cure allergies completely.

So, recruit the help of an allergist to help you deal with allergy symptoms caused by your pet. You might be surprised how well your allergist understands that you're unwilling to part ways with your best friend.
