Tune-Up Your Asthma

Monday July 30, 2007
Now is the time to tune-up your asthma, or your child's asthma, before autumn and cold/flu season arrives. Viral infections, such as the common cold, are the most common trigger of asthma attacks. Fall allergies, especially weed pollen, are another big trigger for asthma symptoms.

Late summer is the time to start thinking about getting your asthma (or your child's asthma) in tip-top shape before those big asthma triggers arrive. Learn more about asthma, how to find out if your asthma is well-controlled, and the steps you can take to ensure your asthma is tuned-up so as to avoid sick visits to your doctor (or to the emergency room). Stay healthy this cold and flu season, get out and enjoy the back-to-school and football activities, and don't let your asthma control you!
