Stinging insects can present a serious allergy threat - and can even be life-threatening for some people. Other than the typical "bee-sting" allergy that many people are familiar with, allergic reactions to fire ant and scorpion stings can also occur. In many parts of the United States, fire ant stings are a frequent occurrence, especially with outdoor activities.
