Hives, Welts and Welps
Sunday August 19, 2007
Urticaria goes by many names, but no matter what you call it, this itchy rash makes people miserable. And, hives are extremely common, occurring in at least 20% of people at some point during their lifetimes. In my allergy practice, I see at least a dozen or more patients each week who suffer from hives. While the cause of hives varies, and may only be curable in a certain number of cases, hives are almost always easily controlled.
