Just in time for allergy season, Allegra (fexofenadine), a popular non-sedating prescription antihistamine, will be available over-the-counter (OTC) and without a prescription by Spring 2011. Great news for allergy sufferers that Allegra, will be available over-the-counter (OTC) and without a prescription by Spring 2011. Although patients have to be careful about selecting these antihistamines. Some of them like zyrtec and allegra can make you more drowsy than the claritin.

This is so timely…my allergies are really kicking up here in the south west. I am new to this as it just came on in my older age – Any tips for sleeping better with allergies?

To Jay Mathew,

Try probiotic treatments for seasonal allergies. It worked for a friend of mine. Ask your local health food or Wholefoods specialists.
