Punxsutawney Phil: An Early Spring

On February 2nd, Punxsutawney Phil failed to see his shadow, and predicted an early spring. While this brings great joy to many people in the Northeastern U.S, it means an early allergy season, and therefore earlier symptoms, to allergy sufferers.

Many people think that February is too early for allergy season, but many parts of the country are already seeing high levels of tree pollen, the most prevalent springtime pollen. This means more sneezing for people with allergic rhinitis, and more wheezing for people with asthma.

Consider seeing an allergist for the latest treatments for allergic rhinitis and asthma, and consider allergy shots, a potential cure for allergies.
