Many people have a tough time using eye drops. Whenever I try to use my allergy eye drops, I wind up getting about 5 drops on my face before I get one to go into my eye. Getting the medication into the eyes of children is even more difficult. The following technique works amazingly well to get the eye drop in the right place, every time, hassle-free.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 Minutes
Here's How:
  1. Make sure that your child's face is relatively clean. If not, wipe off the face with a wet washcloth, especially the areas around the eyes.
  2. Have your child lay down on a bed or sofa facing the ceiling, or stand up and tilt his head back, looking up to the ceiling.
  3. Have your child close his eyes.
  4. Without touching the tip of the eye dropper bottle to the skin, place the desired number of eye drops into the inside corner of the eye (closest to the nose).
  5. Have your child open their eyes and blink repeatedly.
  6. The eye drops have now been placed into the eyes.
What You Need:
  • Eye Drops
  • Wet Washcloth
  • Bed or Sofa
