Note: Please read labels as foods containing any shellfish should be labeled as such. Use caution with intake of fish. While shellfish and fish are not related foods, you typically find shellfish where you find fish. For example, if you eat at a seafood restaurant, the fish may have been in direct contact with shellfish, and you could therefore have a reaction to the fish!
In addition to the strict avoidance of any and all of the above foods, it is important to have your Epi-pen® available for emergency use at all times in case an accidental ingestion should occur.
A Medic-Alert® bracelet may be useful in severe forms of food allergy, so that emergency personnel can be aware of your medical condition if you are unable to communicate.
