- I am highly allergic to nickel and was advised not to wear or touch anything containing it. Pure gold and platinum should be fine to contact but all of my 18 carat gold is a no-no! My hands became so dry that they split and bled and they looked like they belonged to someone over the age of 100! I now only wear a platinum ring but you cannot avoid nickel as it seems to be in everything-even stainless steel. I use an emolient as a soap and moisturiser all of the time which seems to help but I still suffer with my hands! I am wondering if this is a short term allergy as I didn`t get any problems until I was in my late thirties. Does it work in a seven year cycle like asthma or hayfever? I loved wearing my watch and jewellery and now feel quite naked without it! Even clothes cause problems because of all the metal in jean buttons, belts, zips, wirein bras etc etc..It would be great to get some feedback from anyone who suffers or has suffered with this.

Summer Nickel Allergy
- I got the first Ipad as a present when it first came out and i used it all the time. After about a week or so i started getting rashes on my hands. i had no idea the product contained Nickel. It was weird figureing out that i was allergic to my Ipad. I now have to have covers for my Ipad and Ipod or anything else by Apple to be on the safe side or not hold it for very long.

- Hello, I'm curious to find out if anyone has been treated for an allergy to the metallic stents placed in the heart for blockages? I'm pretty sure that these stents cannot be removed and I'm wondering what would be done for treatment?
