It is quite common for people with allergies to notice that their allergy medicines stop working after a period of time. Many people frequently need to change their allergy medicines, in some cases multiple times a year, in order to find relief.

The reasons behind why allergy medicines stop working aren't completely clear -- although the most likely reason is that a person's allergy symptoms either change or worsen, and their allergy medicine no longer provides relief for their symptoms.
